前院的樹群.
像公園般的後院一角,這些 bushes 至少兩層樓高,提供很高的隱密性.第一棵大樹是我們的,後面兩棵姊妹樹是鄰居的.

這幾天花很多時間在新家,弄了個小 work station 可以繼續工作.

新家的第一個工程: rebuild broken chimney from the shoulder. 總金額是 $3390. We got a buyer's credit of $3400.
這區常見 broken chimney due to previous earthquakes. 一個白天把現有的 chimney 打掉.
重砌磚牆,本來要做成原本的 stucco. 臨時要求換成紅磚.多 charge $120 for 車程往返換材料.

New chimney. 這中間 the town of Los Gatos 的人來過兩次,第一次 verify the secured straps are properly fastened before more work can proceed, 第二次 verify the completion of the work.
Looks pretty nice from the backyard.
I had to call the masonry people again to get the stucco painted.
For some reason the paint we bought with the color barcode carefully checked seems to be off.  Maybe it's just not wearing enough.
We joked this is our outdoor blended-in-with-nature shower.  Not sure what the previous owners used it for.
Iona picked all the lemons within her reach.

這個 screen 是前屋主留給我們的.

一扇門通往車庫,右邊的那扇門是 pantry.
不曉得為什麼這兩個要把小車子停在這裡.
新買的 washer and dryer, 下面有架子墊高,免得老是要彎腰.留留看到新的 dryer 歡呼,因為他的責任就是 unload laundry and fold.
前院,籃球架超高.要在後院弄個比較 kids friendly 的矮籃球架.
前門.右邊是車庫.
新車也順便照一張.
