今晚小朋友發現他的圖書館卡不見了.
辦卡的當天,小朋友特地帶了一個小包包要裝新的圖書館卡.
包包太小,於是小朋友放到口袋裡收好.

其實我有些生氣,辦卡才兩天呢!
我有點火大的說,那怎麼辦,現在不能借書了...
小朋友走來走去低頭尋找,
邊找邊說 "I remember I put it under the tissue box!"

當然是找不到了,小朋友繞了幾圈,頭愈來愈低,愈來愈沮喪.我心裡生氣著,在一旁不發一語.

忽然小朋友說 "I will never borrow a book again!"
他這一說我心裡的警鐘大響,我這都在做些什麼呀!
怎麼在旁邊看好戲什麼也不做呢?

趕緊對著小朋友說 "Sorry I think I over-reacted. I am sure you can get a new card."

小朋友說 "Can I tell the librarian the card was washed down in the drain?"

我說 "Was it true? There is no need to make up stories."
"We will just tell them that you lost it and maybe they can help us."
"It's not the end of the world. No big deal. Just remember to store it carefully next time."

對呀,世界末日不會來.媽媽嚇他個什麼勁.
