We took Iona to a free trial lesson at the Little Gym last Saturday. She was a natural! (You have to second me if you have seen her forward roll clip!)
The first 25 mins DH was there with her and she kept waving to me outside of the glass window. After a few attempts trying to get out of the room to find me, she successfully "invited" me in. Bennett took over the camera and took some great shots. My cute little doll Forty five minutes soon past. It was time to go home! I think we will stick with Y's young kids open gym. This lesson is not much different but it's way pricey!

They make great reading buddies! 學校西班牙語老師的父母從墨西哥來訪,特別到學校帶他們玩墨西哥的童玩. 五月的 Cinco De Mayo fiesta, 每年級輪流載歌載舞表演西班牙語的歌曲,從 K1, K2, 1, 2 到三年級這是我們參加的第五年了.五年級生負責開場和結尾兩首歌,最後一次參與這個活動的五年級結尾的歌曲表演的特別賣力,熱力四射感染了現場每個人,最後全校忍不住加入一起跳舞!

Well the story behind the scene is I signed him up as a chaperone. This is one photogenic camel! Love the innocent look on his/her face! 三個好朋友! 有次 field trip 去 San Jose 的古蹟 Fallen House. 留留那時候為了滑雪時脖子保暖還留著長髮. 體驗擦銀器擦皮鞋的生活. Crazy hair day. 把妹妹的小髮飾全綁上頭. 美術老師更猛, buzz cut 獨留兩邊不剪. 童裝公司 Oshkosh B'Gosh 在日本地震後發起紙鶴送暖活動,每摺一隻紙鶴 Oshkosh 送一件童裝到日本.全校卯起來摺,不管是下課時間還是回家後,那一陣子留留每天滿腦子都是 paper crane. 這樣總算交代完畢三年級生多彩多姿的生活了!
It almost comes to an end. Just three days left and the 3rd grade year will soon be over. I have not posted B's school pictures as intended. Now I need to rush a little bit and just brief it through. Silk worm project started right after we came back from Taiwan in early May. Then came the big day. Soon after the first silk moth appeared, in the past two weeks each day new silk moths came out. The 3rd graders were busy matching and mating their silk moths. Amanda and Bennett were not successful making their moths mate and they kept trying at almost every recess. Becky then kindly offered hers "for better selection" and both moths flapped their wings at Becky's moth. Not hard to imagine what happened... Both Amanda and Bennett's moths were males. The dress-up biography project was a while ago. (maybe in March?) The kids were assigned to research and study these well-known people's life in the past. The project ended with a cursive written report (or a typed one) and a read-aloud presentation in costume. Laura Ingalls Wilder, the author of Little House on the Prairie. Daniel Boone Mother Teresa Neil Armstrong King Tut Levi Strauss, the founder of Levi's company. Walt Disney Helen Keller Thomas Edison Abraham Lincoln Franklin Roosevelt. The wheel chair was really impressive. Bennett was Henry Ford, the founder of Ford company. Louis Braille, the inventor of braille. John Deere, the founder of John Deere company. Oops...I don't know this one. Amelia Earhart, the first woman to fly solo across the Atlantic. Benjamin Franklin I don't know this one either. Harriet Tubman Grandma Moses Jim Henson Owl Pellet Project. So glad they did it at school. Whew! Not only Bennett needs his summer I think I need a break from school too!
真不敢相信再兩個禮拜三年級就要結束了.還是趕快在有效期限(=學期結束)前把三年級的 school work 放上來吧! 三年級的數學講到銳角鈍角三角形(先註明他第一題的答案是錯的),三角形內角和,平方立方平方立方根. 感謝三年級老師 Mrs. L 把班上的小詩們印行成冊,這小書以後翻翻會是很好的回憶! 留留的第一首小詩. 留的小插畫 for "The Mustard Valley". 小詩二"The Mustard Valley". 畢卡索風的插畫 for "Black". 第三首小詩 "Black" 是我最喜歡的一首,念起來很有味道. 啊~日記的進度怎麼趕都趕不上生活的腳步.還有三年級的 field trips 和 silk worms 要在學期前寫完!
