[第一則小故事]
幾天前在西雅圖機場,經過檢查門前我們先去 family restroom 倒掉一桶礦泉水.小朋友問我們為什麼要把水倒光.

我們告訴他,檢查門專門偵測金屬物品,而後方的 X ray machine 可以透過行李箱看到物品的形狀和厚度,
有些炸彈可以以液體形式存在,而這兩項檢查都無法辨視液體的種類,為了防止漏洞,所有超過一定份量的液體都不能帶.

小朋友想了想說 "那我們人也不能進去不是嗎?人體內都是水!"

我回答他 "我想我們可以進去的原因是,如果真有液體炸彈在我們的身體裡,恐怕沒走到檢查門前我們就要倒下了!"

我向他眨眨眼,開個小玩笑 "Then how about we pee out all the water in our bodies now?"

小朋友笑了.


[第二則小故事]
晚上睡前,他去洗手間後問我...

小朋友: Mom, is girl's poo poo place bigger than boy's?

我: What makes you think so?

小朋友: Since girls don't have their wee wee, their pee must be coming out from their poo poo place.

我: Well, girls do have their pee pee place in the front. It's just not as noticeable as boys wee wee.

小朋友: Oh I know. The pee pee place is covered by hairs!

我: Boys also have hairs. All kids will when they become teenagers.

我: Can you keep this a secret for now?

小朋友: Especially to the girls, right?

我: No, to both boys and girls. Why do you want to especially keep it from girls?

小朋友: Oh I just thought they might feel embarrassed if they learn the fact about hairs.

我: Do you think you can keep this secret well? I'd really appreciate if you can keep it just between us for now.

小朋友: Okay. I will not tell anyone.
