前幾天媽媽在電腦前工作,小留留在旁邊玩,乖乖的玩了一陣子之後,留留忽然發出一聲輕呼,oh oh...
低頭一看,發現他手上多了一條橡皮筋,問他哪裡來的,他指了指收不回去的DVD burner(燒錄機),再把DVD ROM(讀取機)也按出來,支支吾吾的報告媽媽說兩台都應該有一條橡皮筋在裡面,可是現在只有一台有了,另外一台的橡皮筋在留留的手上.
怒氣衝天的媽媽決定暫時不發作,拿了螺絲起子把主機拆開,燒錄機也拆開,叫小留留在一旁幫忙把取下來的螺絲釘全部收在他的小手心裡,把橡皮筋放回去後,媽媽又把一切裝了回去,本來做錯事有點心虛的留留看到燒錄機修好了,忍不住又興奮了起來.
留留: This is called "Team Work", isn't it? (這就是團隊合作對不對?)
媽媽: What? (還在專心的裝東西沒仔細聽這個小孩在講什麼)
留留: We worked together. We are a team. This is team work.
(我們一起裝東西,這就是團隊合作)
媽媽: You broke it and I fixed it. This is not team work.
(你弄壞東西,媽媽把東西修好,這才不是團隊合作勒~)
最後小留留乖乖的去time-out(關禁閉),在媽媽的要求下打電話給媽媽的老闆道歉說他把DVD burner弄壞了! The end~

Last
week when I was working in front of my computer, Bennett was playing on
the side. After a while I heard him whisper "oh oh" and decided to
stop and check on him.
Bennett showed me a black rubber bend on his hand and it seemed to be coming from nowhere. I noticed the DVD burner tray is out and something seemed to be wrong. To illustrate what had happened, Bennett pressed the DVD ROM button and got the tray out. He said "See, there were two rubber bends. One in each. (DVD burner and DVD ROM) Now there's only one."
I held my temper and started to try to fix it. Got the case open, DVD burner open and put the rubber bend back. Bennett was helping to hold all the bolts in his hand while I worked. He was very excited when we finally put everything back together and the burner functioned again.
Bennett: This is called "Team Work", isn't it?
I: What? (Yet shift my attention from the burner to him)
Bennett: We worked together. We are a team. This is team work.
I: You broke it and I fixed it. This is not team work.
End results? Bennett got a time-out. He also made a call to my boss, Paul, apologizing for what he had done.
